God knew what he was doing when He created woman. He crafted a beautiful work of art. Apparently Jarrad Anthony agrees. In this ode to women, shouting out he celebrates our essence. With so much negative and raunchy music available to our ears, it’s nice to hear a brother simply appreciate us.
Several years ago, Soul Socialite and I were planning our birthday extravaganza and we decided to give favors for the party. Of course, the only fitting favor would be a musical compilation of some of our favorite tunes. I had heard the song, “Green” from Liquid Soul Elements, an online station with J Sevens as the programmer. The song stuck out to me and I was hooked from then on. I HAD to have it on the cd. It was so hard to narrow down the songs, but we managed to do it. If you’re unfamiliar with Coultrain, be sure to check out the entire album, The Adventures Of Seymor Liberty. The ADDIKTS are looking forward to Zo!’s album, Sunstorm, slated to release on July 27th. Here’s a taste of what all of us are looking forward to next month!
Last weekend Atlanta was given a taste of “sunshine” as the show opener for Eric Roberson. Although a little tardy to the show, I was glad to hear Avery sing a few tunes. An amazing vocal ability and stage presence to boot, she made a lot of people pay attention(including me). When she covered Jill Scott songs, the crowd was on its feet. A talented pianist, Avery*Sunshine is gearing up for he r self-titled release of her album on June 21st(the first day of Summer). Be sure to support!
If you’d like to sample some of what we got live, check out the songs below. You’ll see why Avery*Sunshine is ADDIKTS APPROVED!
